About Sewing Tutorials Library

About Sewing Tutorials Library - That's Me!Sewing Tutorials Library was born out of my desire to bookmark and categorize all of the best sewing tutorials available on the Internet. If everyone stops making fabulous sewing tutorials today, I should be finished indexing the internet by my 1,348th birthday.

On the other hand, if you guys keep making and publishing new tutes, it’s probably a lost cause.

Incomplete though it may be, I hope you enjoy this sewing tutorial resource and find it useful!

A little about me..

I’m Stephanie, and I started sewing in the third grade.  My first project was a baby blue terry cloth sleeper for my Cabbage Patch Kid. It was .. um.. wonky.

But I figured out how to read a commercial pattern, learned to operate my mother’s thirty year old Singer, and completed the project.  From a pile of materials to custom doll clothes in just a few hours.  I was hooked!

Oh boy!  And boy!  And boy!  And girl!  In the span of six years, I had plenty of real babies to sew for.

As we “speak”, my little ones are rapidly leaving babyhood behind. My oldest is rounding the corner to 13 and my baby girl is off to first grade this year.  While this leaves me already missing those sweet toddler kisses, it does afford me more time to sew!

I’ve also been running an online sewing business for the last 8 years. I started out making cloth diapers but have sewn and sold a variety of items including children’s clothing, bags, and cloth menstrual pads and accessories.
